About comments, emails, and blog growth...

Hello there!

So, when I started this blog just four months ago, I knew it was a subject that needed talking about. But I had no idea how fast this blog would grow! I'm delighted, of course. My main motivation for starting this blog was being able to help people find clothes and bras to fit, and to be able to network with other busty ladies. And that has been happening, and that's great!

Another thing that's been happening, which is also great, is I've been getting a LOT of comments, and emails. And I really love receiving them! And every time, I want to make sure to respond to everybody, and to answer any questions. I also am a person who tends to be extremely careful about how I word things and how I explain things. I want to give everybody the best answer possible. But unfortunately, sometimes that gets to be a bit too much for me, what with being a full-time college student with other responsibilities, and all. So, I am still working on answering everybody... but I know I've fallen behind a bit lately and I'm sorry for that. I think (hope) most of you would rather receive careful, thought out responses even if it takes longer.

And I also have to keep posting... which gets harder to do as often because I'm busy responding to everybody!

Maybe I'm over thinking this (I do that a lot :-P) but I wanted to let you know that if you have commented or sent me an email recently, I'm not ignoring you and I WILL answer you, I promise. I may have to respond to comments less in the future, though, like only when somebody asks a question or something. But please keep leaving them! I do like receiving them and reading them, and I like having your feedback.

I just wanted to let you guys know... thanks for your understanding and if anybody has thoughts on this, or suggestions, please do let me know! And thank you for reading and responding and generally being awesome.

  1. HI Brittany -

Just discovered your blog two weeks ago and had not realized it was such a young blog! Good job.
    Two suggestions/thoughts on your post:
    1) Why not do a post answering some of the questions (that are not of a very personal nature of course)? Killing two birds with one stone - or some other less violent metaphor...
    2) Try out some guest columnists/posters -whatever they're called in the blogging world?

Oh yes, and try not to over think - I know its hard - but life is short...
Thanks for your hard work and writing on this topic!

  6. momraths- Thank you! I am glad you like my blog and thanks for your suggestions, they are good ideas.

Cheryl Warner/Lillefix- Aww, I always like to hear about other blogs that address similar issues. My opinion is, the more the merrier. Unless you are directly copying/ripping off my stuff without linking to me it's all good. Blogging is a community and we all have slightly different insight. :-) I like your blog, too, Cheryl!

  7. Thanks, Brittany! I agree with you whole-heartedly. I love reading blogs of the same kind of content as mine, nice to know I am not alone! I am interested in your experience of bra fitting on the high street in the US - if you have seen my blog: http://www.investinyourchest.co.uk/high-street-fitting-challenge, you will see my results were quite crazy! I would love to see you do a post of the same kind of thing... Mine only shows the UK side of things, and i'd love to read a US version! (if you have time) I have been the same though - I am at Uni too and find blogging the ultimate procrastination... should probably write more about literature... less about bras haha :) x

  9. It's ok - not your fault! I was contacted about your post as if that's what you meant so I kind of approached it with that context in mind. So sweet of you to mention me :) x

  10. Hi- Just a quick note to say what a great concept for a blog this is. I'm based in the UK so not all of the products will be the same but it's definitely true that for too long 'curvy' has been a cliche for a size of woman, not a body shape! I'm UK 8 (US 4-6) and have bazoomas! I will definitely be returning here for style tips in future.

  11. Hey! I just want you to know that I'm really very happy to have found your blog! It's really NOT an oxymoron. Everything has been so helpful, but I have a few specific clothing questions (sorry if you've addressed something like this). I'm sixteen and in high school, so I don't want to show off my breasts at all. But since about sixth grade, anything I've worn has done just that. All of my camisoles slide down until they reveal my bra. It's really unprofessional and makes me look like a tart but that's not really the look I go for. I'm not intentionally buying low cut tops, they just fall that way. I think it may be because I'm short. Do you know any places that sell high-cut tops?

  12. Hi Lucy, That's a great question and I totally understand, I really struggled with that in high school, too. I think I will write a post answering your question so that other people will see it and so that I can answer it in more depth. :-)

  14. help, I'm stuck on trying to figuring out what size I wear. From my calculations (band size 34, breast size is 44), I think I should try 34 GG but based on other calulations and measurements on this blog, I'm just not sure. Whad'ya think? Also, I've had breast surgery because of breast cancer, ended up with a tattooed nipple which is already "on". Can you suggest a bra that is not sheer, not padded but will cover my nipple. One last question, do you know anything about the Genie bra? Thanks, Michele
