Outfit post: Biubiu Summer City watercolor dress!

So, I got a new Biubiu order! Since I've already done my main review, this time I'm going to be secretive and show you the new clothes as I wear them, in outfit posts. :-) I am also adding a Biubiu tag to posts, so if you filter by that then you will be able to see all the outfits with Biubiu clothing in them!

I know this dress is called Summer City, but in my head I think of it as "the watercolor dress." In photos it struck me more as a big floral print, but in person I feel like it really looks a lot like a watercolor painting. Very pretty. :-)

At first, I didn't order this dress, thinking I'd be good and just try out the Indigo City. But then I regretted not getting it once it was too late. :-( Then, when I got my package, surprise! Kinga sent it to me anyway as a thank you for helping promote Biubiu. Thank you Kinga! :-) It may actually be my favorite thing I got, too. :-)

As far as the fit goes, it's pretty perfect- It reminds me of Trashy Diva. It's quite snug, so if you are smaller than me you could still wear it, but definitely size up if you are bigger than me, either in bust or in waist, or if you like a looser fit.

Dress: Biubiu
Necklace: Gift from boyfriend (it's a real butterfly wing!)
Shoes: Spring Step
Unders: Ewa Michalak halfcup and Hanky Panky :-D

  1. Love the back shot the most - you can see how it fits you perfectly in the waist. EM halfcups are very handy for this dress style :)

  2. You look stunning in this, it does your perfect figure justice.
And it looks so much better on you than on their webpage.

  4. I've got the same one. It's absolutely gorgeous. But I prefer to wear it with black stilletoes or ballerinas and a black necklace:). I like the contrast.

However, the necklace you wear is really nice. But I believe the sandals would match better a pair of navy blue jeans or a denim pencil skirt:).

  6. You look terrific in this dress!

I actually bought some clothing from Biubiu after seeing it on your blog and I love the fit! I wear a 32H so I have quite a different body but they work for me too.

I bought two stretchy tops and a grey linen dress. The dress fits like a glove, to the extend that I have to practice good posture. It is a very close fit in the back to show off my more delicate bits with enough space to accomodate my bust. At the same time, the belly and hips have enough space to sit down comfortably and eat a full dinner.

  7. You look lovely! It really fits you to a T. I'm on the lookout for a replacement for Bravissimo/Pepperberry after reading about their new sizing policy. So, I'm wondering if busty women with a less hourglassy shape have had any chance with Biubiu? Bravissimo used to work for my apple shape, but there is no way the new Pepperberry SC is going to fit my K cups.

  8. Anonymous- Thanks! It's so frustrating that Brav/Pepperberry are going to be removing sizes that work for their customers that need it the most! I have heard that they will be introducing a Super Duper Curvy size soon, though. But it's always good to have different clothing options! I do think that Biubiu can be apple friendly, but it depends on the style- for example I definitely wouldn't recommend this Summer City dress for an apple, I think it was really designed for hourglasses with a very snug/small waist. I think the Fuego tops: http://biubiu.pl/tops/short_sleeve/fuego_purple.html are excellent for apples, they have a much looser fit over the waist and an empire waistline. I also think the polka dot dresses could work: http://biubiu.pl/dresses/polka_dot_red.html. What I would really recommend is emailing them with your measurements and body shape, and Kinga (the owner) will respond with her size and style recommendations. She's usually right on about what will work on somebody, too!

  9. Thanks for answering! I was thinking that the polka dot dress might work. I'll be sure to report if I do buy something from them!

  11. I love that dress! Did you have to pay in customs fees when it was shipped to you?

Hi! I was wondering what size you have this in? I was reading the conversion chart and it...doesn't seem to make sense. I'm a 26GG and looking for great clothing I can wear that doesn't make me feel like my boobs are going to explode the front. I usually wear US 0 or XS (sometimes XXS, since I fluctuate by about 5lbs every couple months or so)
