I love the red! You look fantastic here. :) Do you have any suggestions for stretchy shirts? Target changed their styling/sizing recently, and the small shirts are now too big.
Do you have any recs for thin and curvy bra tops? I live in Georgia, where the summers are so hot I've resorted to shelf bra lined tank tops, and I'd love to find some bra tops that are bra sized. I'm a 28F/G, if that helps.
Hi, Brittany! It's Sam Stanton from Facebook. I deactivated my Facebook but wanted to know if you'd still be interested in helping me out by selling me your old 26HH bras :D? That is if/when you've bought some new ones! Just making sure you have a way to get a hold of me since I no longer have Facebook. These pictures are absolutely gorgeous! Congrats on 3rd place in Star in a Bra :D, though I was it was first. Krista is absolutely lovely though! My e-mail is SamEatsBrains@hotmail.com
Ah. Wow. This is crazy! I'm looking at you and I'm sitting here thinking "That's my figure!" It's such a pain to have a big chest, but be relatively skinny. My friends don't understand when I say "Awe. That's such a cute dress, but I would never buy it" because it doesn't have straps or the cut is low. It seems like most things either make me look fat or they make me look like a tramp, so I'm SO happy to see this outfit you have, because it looks great! :)
Brittany, I hope you won't find this question offensive. It is just a matter of curiosity. I noticed in these pics and in your Second Base review, that you seem to wear your bra band very low. Do you have a long torso that could give this impression, or short arms? I just wondered, I am always curious about bra fitting things.
Nope, not offended. :-) Other people have pointed out the same thing, considerably less kindly...
I do have quite a long torso. I'm about 5'9"-5'10" and I don't need to buy tall sized jeans, to give you an idea. I also have arms on the short side. (I only recently really figured that one out.)
I also think that due to the size of my breasts on my frame, they have quite a bit of size at the base, like they extend from a few inches above my waist to nearly my collarbones. If they were smaller, they would probably also end higher, and I could wear my bra band higher and probably a size bigger, as well. Does that make sense?
I do wish I had more options to try in my size. Ewa Michalak bras are more comfortable for me, due to being available in a small enough band size, but I bet a different brand/style that was better suited to my shape could give me more lift.
I didn't realize you were so tall! I am about 5'3" but I have a very short torso, so that my waist is only a few inches below my ribs... it makes pants hard to find. My boobs are from about mid-rib up to collarbones, there is only so much space available!
It totally makes sense and thank you for answering my question! I hope also that if someone is feeling bad about her build, she can read this and feel better. I think raising awareness of body diversity is really important, and I thank you for the work you do in that arena!
Anyway thank you for answering. It does make sense, my boobs go up to my collarbone as well, from about mid-rib. I am about 5'3". There is only so much space for them, I know!
I hope that some other styles start making smaller bands. I think Cleo mentioned they were going to bring out a few, right?
Thanks so much for answering, not just for me, but because I think explanations like yours increase awareness of body diversity and that is a good thing! Especially for young girls. So thanks for the work you do in that arena.
Are you trying to say she's not allowed to comment unless she's curvier? Curvy is not set in stone. Some may look at her and think she's very curvy, others not. I think the average women in the US is about a G cup and doesn't know it. So F would be a pretty normal cup size, certainly not Un-curvy however.
Idk how you don't know that. If you read this blog at all, you'd know that to be true. You'd also know that all that means is the average women has a chest measurement 9 inches larger than her rib cage measurement. That's outlandishly huge. I have an 11-12 inch difference and while I'm chesty, I'm not cartoonish by any means. I'm a HH cup. Brittany I believe is a J or JJ.
Hello Brittany. I have a question, but I hope it is not intrusive or rude. What are your measurements? Like bust, waist, hip. I'm sorry, it is difficult for me to get an idea of how the clothing you wear fits you (and might fit me) from the pictures alone.
Thank you. Wow you are taller than you look! (For some reason I assumed 5'5" or 5'6".)
Oh I wonder, perhaps someday you might do a formal wear outfit? I suppose if you ever need formal wear. Like a dress to wear to the opera or symphony. I find it so hard to get fancy dresses to flatter the hourglass figure in very formal occasions without looking "revealing" like I am trying to flaunt my chest. And there's the issue of too much room in the waist. Sometimes I feel formal wear like gowns was not designed for certain figures..
Hi Brittany, Just wondering - have you tried DDAtelier yet? (http://dd-atelier.com/). I've just discovered them through Facebook this morning. The designs look great. They are a little more expensive that Biubiu and Urkye but I'm really looking forward to ordering from them. I'm just waiting for the new Biubiu collection to come out before I make my autumn purchases. Also, I know that you're not a fan of Pepperberry but the new collection is a vast improvement. The fit is better and the sizes more consistent and there is a lot more variety in the colours. Have you seen it? It might be worth giving it a second chance. Clare
Wow, what a great outfit! Your top makes the red in your skirt pop nicely! Very Good Job! I went to a Tommy Hilfiger outlet and their tops in XL fit my 38D's really nice. Not tight and didn't have to pin at the gap in the middle of my chest like I normally do. The sale racks were packed with pretty tops. I appreciate your posts very much. Can't wait to see more of you and your writing!
I always love to hear your thoughts! Please remember to be respectful. I may not publish comments that are rude, hateful, personal attacks, racist, sexist, or otherwise inappropriate. Dissenting opinions are fine, as long as they are respectful. Thanks!
Finally your wearing an outfit that is deserving of you. You look great.

ReplyDeleteThis outfit and the colors are fantastic on you! Short A-line skirts are really wonderful on your figure.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow...I'm in love!
ReplyDeleteI love red too... and those are exquisite shoes!

ReplyDeletePanache makes camisoles with a built-in, underwire bra in standard UK sizes, but the bra is padded and they are rather expensive.
DeleteYou look great!

Hello, Brittany. I know it has nothing to do with the post, but could you help me to find out my bra size? my measures are:
ReplyDelete68 cm or 27 inches (band size)
84 cm or 33 inches (breast size)
and 74 cm or 29 inches above breast size.
so I dont know if I am an 28F or 28B
please, help? thank you. :)
I think you are 28F, but I dont know i it is considered ''curvy''. Is it?
